Swamp Lebak rice is one of the agricultural commodities spread across Indonesia, especially in Sumatra. Being a lebak swamp rice farmer is the main job of the people of Sejangko I Village, Rantau Panjang District, Ogan Ilir Regency. In increasing farm income, of course farmers will work closely with agricultural extension workers. Through increasing farm income, the empowerment of farmer group members will be guaranteed. The objectives of this research are (1) to analyze the role of agricultural extension workers in empowering farmer group members in Sejangko I Village, Rantau Panjang District, Ogan Ilir Regency, (2) to describe the activities of empowering farmer group members through the program agricultural counseling in increasing rice farming in Sejangko I Village, Rantau Panjang District, Ogan Ilir Regency, (3) Analyzing the income of farming members of farmer groups after the empowerment program through agricultural extension in Sejangko I Village, Rantau Panjang District, Ogan Ilir Regency. The time of the research was carried out from January 2023 to completion. The data collection method used a survey method through interviews with 30 rice farmers belonging to farmer groups who became respondents. The data processing method used is the identification of agricultural extension programs, analysis of farm income of farmer group members, and analysis of differences in income before and after the existence of an agricultural extension program using the IBM SPSS Statistics 26 program. The results obtained from this study are (1) The role of extension workers in empowering members of farmer groups through the aspect of knowledge is in the high category with an average score of 5.43, skills are in the high category with an average score of 4.83, and attitude is also in the high category of 5.47. (2) An agricultural extension activity program has been implemented to empower members of farmer groups in Sejangko I Village, Rantau Panjang District, Ogan Ilir Regency, including increasing knowledge in land preparation using technology, applying superior seeds, socializing the application of fertilizers and using effective spacing. as well as socialization of OPT control. (3) Based on the results of the t test, it is concluded that there are differences in farmers' income before and after the empowerment program through agricultural extension.
