This research is entitled "Socio-Economic Life of Nipah Leaf Craftsmen in 3-4 Ulu, Seberang Ulu 1 District, Palembang City in 1990-2019". This study aims to find out how the socio-economic life of the nipa palm craftsmen in 3-4 Ulu and what are the impacts on the environment in producing nipa crafts in 3-4 Ulu. The method used in this research is the historical method, where in this method there are several stages of data collection, namely through library research, documentation, and interviews. The results of this study explain that there has been social and economic development which can be seen from the establishment of harmonious relationships by mutual cooperation and mutual assistance among fellow craftsmen and the local community and an increase in the amount of income earned to meet daily needs. The environmental impact arising from the production of nipah crafts is causing floods. Keywords: Life, Social, Economy, Craftsmen, Nipa palm
