PENGEMBANGAN INSTRUMEN THREE-TIER DIAGNOSTIC TEST UNTUK MENDETEKSI MISKONSEPSI PESERTA DIDIK PADA MATERI SISTEM SARAF DI SMA
This study aims to develop a valid and reliable Three Tier Diagnostic Test instrument to detect misconceptions among high school students in OKU Regency on the topic of the Nervous System. The development of this instrument uses the Treagust development method, which involves several stages starting from content identification, analysis of common misconceptions, and the development of questions for each tier. The results of the instrument development show that the developed Three Tier Diagnostic Test instrument has a CVR and CVI validity of 1 and a reliability of 0.73 for answer choices and 0.73 for reasoning choices. This indicates that the instrument is valid, consistent, and can be used to identify student misconceptions. The validated and reliable instrument was further tested on 323 students from 6 schools with A, B, and C accreditations in OKU. The research results show that student misconceptions on the topic of the nervous system are 62.72%, with 23 questions categorized as high misconceptions and 6 questions categorized as moderate misconceptions. The analysis also shows that the highest misconception is found in the discussion of motor neuron function with a misconception percentage of 79.41%. The causes of student misconceptions come from information obtained from the internet, textbooks, teachers, teaching methods, and information circulating in the environment. The misconceptions found in this study can be taken into consideration by teachers in their teaching practices to prevent similar misconceptions in the future
