PARASITISASI TELUR DAN LARVA SERTA SERANGAN Spodoptera frugiperda PADA JAGUNG DI OGAN ILIR, PALEMBANG, MUARA ENIM DAN OGAN KOMERING ILIR, SUMATERA SELATAN
Spodoptera frugiperda JE Smith (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) which appeared in mid-2019 became an important problem in maize cultivation in Indonesia. The high attack potential can disrupt the availability or production of corn in Indonesia. One of the effective controls in controlling S. frugiperda is by utilizing natural enemies that are available in nature. Parasitoids are one of the biocontrols that can affect the dynamics of pest populations. This parasitoid controls S. frugiperda in the egg and larval stages. This aimed of this research are to analyze the dynamics of parasitization of eggs and larval of S. frugiperda and identify the diversity of parasitoid species, as well as determine and analyze the level of attack of S. frugiperda in the districts of Ogan Ilir, Muara Enim, Palembang and Ogan Komering Ilir. This research was conducted by observing through surveys in 4 Regencies/Cities of Ogan Ilir, Muara Enim, Palembang and Ogan Komering Ilir. This research was conducted using the census method for the level of egg and larval parasitization of S. frugiperda and identifying the diversity of parasitoid species, for measuring its attack using the W-Path method by dividing 5 plots in each observation area. The highest percentage of attacks is in Ogan Komering Ilir with a percentage of 81.00%, while the lowest percentage of attacks was in Palembang with a percentage of 60.00%. The highest attack intensity was in Ogan Komering Ilir with a percentage of 68.63%, while the lowest attack intensity was in Palembang with a percentage of 30.74%. The highest egg parasitization was obtained in Ogan Komering Ilir with a percentage of 100.00% of the 218 eggs obtained. The highest larval parasitization was obtained in Ogan Komering Ilir with a percentage of 34.62% of the 26 larval obtained. The dynamics of parasitization of eggs and larval and the level of damage attack by S. frugiperda are influenced by the age of the maize plant, the stadia phase S. frugiperda, the population level of S. frugiperda in the field, the condition of the vegetation around the field and the behavior of farmers in using pesticides.
