KANDUNGAN TEMBAGA DAN KADMIUM PADA ITIK YANG DIPELIHARA SECARA INTENSIF DAN EKSTENSIF
The metal content in duck meat has an important role in optimizing duck productivity. This study aimed to determine the content of Copper (Cu) and Cadmium (Cd) in the breast meat of ducks reared intensively and extensively. The study was conducted from July to December 2022. Sampling was carried out in the Sungai Pinang and Talang Pangeran Ilir areas. The surgery was carried out in the Research Station of the Department of Animal Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sriwijaya, while the examination of copper and cadmium content was carried out in the Integrated Laboratory and Technology Innovation Center, University of Lampung. Based on the maintenance system, the copper and cadmium contents obtained were then compared with the paired t test. Pearson's correlation test was performed to see the relationship between copper and cadmium levels. The results of the study concluded that the content of the heavy metal cadmium was higher in the extensive rearing system than the intensive one and there was no significant relationship between the content of the two metals.
