BINGKAI PEMBERITAAN PEMASANGAN BALIHO PUAN MAHARANI (ANALISIS FRAMING PADA PORTAL BERITA ONLINE DI TEMPO.CO DAN CNNINDONESIA.COM)
The issue of the massive installation of billboards with Puan Maharani's image in July-August 2021 has become a pro and contra in Indonesian society and is often linked to the 2024 Presidential Election. Interestingly, of the four political figures who installed billboards, only Puan Maharani's billboards were the most discussed by the public and the media, until used as the object of vandalism by certain persons. The purpose of this study is to find out how the news frame is for the installation of Puan Maharani's billboards presented by Tempo.co and Cnnindonesia.com. The research method used is descriptive qualitative by using the framing analysis model of Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki with four (4) analysis knife structures, including Syntax, Script, Thematic and Rhetorical. As for the research results found from the presentation of tempo.co, the framing that is formed tends to convince the reader by validating the news by providing a larger portion of the source's quotes from the installer, while the news themes discussed by tempo.co give more portion to the discussion related to popularity and electability madam. While presentations on Cnnindonesia.com have a tendency to have more points of view in making news, both from the pros and cons. On the theme of the news, it gives more portion related to the vandalism case and the popularity of Puan Maharani which is associated with her billboard.
