This study discussed about social capital in strengthening family food security during the Covid-19 pandemic in Kuang Dalam Barat Village, Rambang Kuang District, Ogan Ilir Regency. This study used descriptive qualitative research method. The determination of informants in this study was carried out purposively with 10 informants consisting of 8 main informants and 2 supporting informants. Types and sources of data obtained through primary data and secondary data with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicated that the form of social capital owned by the Kuang Dalam Barat village community included, trust, networks, values, norms, and reciprocity. This study also showed that forms of social capital that were utilized by the local community in an effort to strengthen their family's food security during a pandemic were trust and reciprocity.
