PERAN WORLD WIDE FUND for NATURE DALAM MENGURANGI ISU PERDAGANGAN ILEGAL TRENGGILING SUNDA (MANIS JAVANICA) DI INDONESIA PADA TAHUN 2016-2021
This study aims to describe the role of the World Wide Fund Nature (WWF) in reducing the illegal trade in the Sunda Sweet Pangolin in 2016-2021. The Sunda Manis Javanica pangolin is one of the pangolin species that has experienced a very alarming population decline, so WWF, as one of the International Non-Governmental Organizations, has started to highlight this case by participating in the preservation and conservation of the Sunda Manis Javanica Pangolin. This study uses the concept of David Lewis and Nazeen Kanji, namely the role of the INGO (International Non-Governmental Organization). This research is a qualitative method. The data collected in the research is through literature study, online data search, and documentation. The results obtained from the research show that WWF has performed its role as a Non-Governmental International Organization engaged in flora and fauna conservation in dealing with the illegal trade in the Sunda Manis Javanica Pangolin, in 2019-2021 compared to previous years, the number of smuggling cases of Sunda Pangolin decrease. With WWF's role, it has had a significant impact in reducing the issue of the Sunda Manis Javanica Pangolin trade case in 2016-2021.
