ANALISIS BENEFIT AND COST RATIO TERHADAP RENCANA KEGIATAN REVEGETASI PADA LAHAN BACKFILL PIT MTBU PT BUKIT ASAM TBK SUMATERA SELATAN
Muara Tiga Besar Utara (MTBU) is one of the longest operating pits at PT Bukit Asam. Most of the pit area is a stockpile area. This is because the overburden material stockpiling in the MTBU pit uses the backfilling method. The backfill land has loose material so that the erosivity of the soil in the backfill land has a large value, as a result the soil particles are carried by runoff water towards the sump and then sedimentation or the formation of mud occurs at the bottom of the sump. This can cause the capacity function of the existing sump to not be optimal due to mud settling at the bottom of the sump. One effort to overcome the amount of mud formed is to carry out revegetation activities. Based on the results of the analysis that has been carried out, the average erosivity of the annual rainfall is 2514.007681 mm/year using rainfall data for the last 10 years (2012-2021). The erodibility of the resulting soil is 0.39 with a slope of 8% to 15% resulting in a slope factor and slope length of 1.4. The land conversion factor on mining land has a value of 1 so that the resulting erosion based on these data is 142,866.64 tons/year and the volume rate of mud formed on the backfill pit MTBU is 58737.014 m3/year with a Specific Gravity (SG) of 1.2. After carrying out revegetation activities on a backfill area of 109 Ha, the amount of erosion decreased to 51431.99 m3/year and mud to 21145.325m3/year. Then, revegetation activities were analyzed economically using Benefit and Cost Ratio Analysis resulting in a B/C value of 2,89 which means the project is feasible to implement.
