Kidney failure causes the function of the kidneys to decrease until they are unable to function properly. the most widely used kidney failure teratment tecnique is hemodialysis. one of the most common side effects of hemodialsis is hypertenstion. hypertention is the main cause of heart disease which is the main cause of death in patients with chronic kidney failure, so to prevent further complications, blood pressure in hypertensive patient needs to be controlled. the purpose of this study is to apply nurshing care in a comprehensive manner, especially in patient with chronic kidney failure. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach on three managed patients. The results of this study indicate that there are 6 emerging nursing diagnoses consisting of 4 actual nursing diagnoses and 2 risk nursing diagnoses. One of the interventions given to the three patients under management is progressive muscle relaxation therapy as an effort to reduce blood pressure. Progressive muscle relaxation therapy performed in a calm state and concentrating on muscle tension and relaxation for 15 minutes will cause a decrease in CRH and ACTH secretion in the hypothalamus, which then causes the sympathetic nervous system to decrease, so that adrenaline and no-adrenaline expenditure decreases, which results in blood vessels dilating and pumping, heart rate decreases so that the arterial blood pressure of the heart decreases. After progressive muscle relaxation therapy for 3 days with a duration of 15 minutes showed a decrease in blood pressure in the three treated patients, namely Mrs. from 145/93 to 140/90 mmHg, Mrs. L from 150/100 to 140/90 mmHg, and Mrs. P from 150/90 to 140/87 mm Hg.
