Breast cancer is a disease that can cause death among women. The recommended treatment for breast cancer patients is chemotherapy and the chemotherapy process requires long and repeated treatments so that i can make sufferers experience psychological decline. One of the psychological effects arising from chemotherapy is anxiety. The anxiety of breast ancer suffererscan can have a negative impact on their quality of life, therefore effort are needed to reduce anxiety by providing relaxation therapies such as music therapy and aromatherapy. The objective of this study is to determine the differences in the effectiveness of music therapy and aromatherapy on the anxiety of breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. The design of this study was quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design approach. The number of sampel of this study was 30 participanys taken by means of non-probability sampling with purposive samplng technique. The paired t-test was used to see the difference in anxiety before and after in each group, and ANOVA test was used to see the difference in anxiety between the intervention and control groups. The analysis of the three groups showed that the music therapy, aromatherapy and control groups had different anxiety scores between before and after being given treatment with a pvalue < 0.05. the results of the analysis using the one way ANOVA test showed that there were significant differences in anxiety scores in the music therapy, aromatherapy and control groups with a pvalue < 0.05.
