ANALISIS KAPASITAS DAN NERACA AIR EMBUNG IV UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA
Water balance analysis is an important part of the planning of a water structure, because it can be used to forecast future and past hydrological data for an area. This analysis involves a comparison between the amount of water entering and leaving an area at a certain time. There are many factors that can affect this analysis, so it is important to consider carefully the selection of variables used in conducting a water balance analysis. Broadly speaking, the stages of research and analysis are divided into four stages. In the first stage a literature study and literature search was carried out for the methods to be used in the analysis. in the second stage, data collection was carried out which was divided into primary data and secondary data. Furthermore, in the third stage, analysis was carried out which was divided into water balance analysis, pond capacity analysis, maximum flood discharge analysis and continued with the analysis of the reservoir spillway building design. The final stage of this research is the discussion and results. This study aims to analyze and understand the capacity analysis and water balance of the reservoir IV of Sriwijaya University. In this study it was found that the results of an analysis of the flow rate entering through the inflow channel into the reservoir, it was found that the average water discharge that filled the reservoir was 188,665.94 m3/month. The largest discharge occurred in March with a value of 331,000.66 m3/month, while the lowest value occurred in August with a value of 83,488.36 m3/month. Based on the results of an analysis of evaporation, it was found that the average value of evaporation that occurs in the reservoir is 14,553 m3/month. Each month is considered the same. From the results of the water balance analysis at the Sriwijaya University reservoir, it can be concluded that the capacity of the existing reservoir is 493,500 m3.
