This study discusses the implementation of the 2018 Asian Games Indonesia as the host as a means of public diplomacy to achieve Indonesia's national interests in this case, namely economic interests. The Indonesian government realizes that the appointment of Indonesia as the host of the 2018 Asian Games can provide economic benefits, especially in the tourism and creative economy sectors. The purpose of this research is to answer the problem formulation "How is the Analysis of Public Diplomacy in the Development of Tourism and Creative Economy in Palembang City Through the 2018 Asian Games Event" Based on the theory used, namely the theory of public diplomacy, Indonesia uses the 2018 Asian Games as not just a sporting event but also as a forum for expanding friendship. The next theory is the theory of national interests, Indonesia sees that national interests are related to economic improvement, especially in the tourism and tourism sector. creative economy. Furthermore, this research is a qualitative research that uses descriptive research methods to explain Indonesia's national interest through the 2018 Asian Games. Then, the results of the study show that several sectors have experienced success, with the implementation of the 2018 Asian Games activities, it can affect future prospects and have promising prospects. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai penyelenggaraan Asian Games 2018 Indonesia sebagai tuan rumah sebagai alat diplomasi publik untuk mencapai kepentingan nasional Indonesia dalam hal ini yaitu kepentingan ekonomi. Pemerintah Indonesia menyadari bahwa ditunjuknya Indonesia sebagai tuan rumah Asian Games 2018 dapat memberikan keuntungan ekonomi terutama di sektor pariwisata dan ekonomi kreatif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjawab rumusan masalah “Bagaimana Analisis Diplomasi Publik Dalam Perkembangan Pariwisata Dan Ekonomi Kreatif Di Kota Palembang Melalui Event Asian Games 2018” Berdasarkan teori yang dipakai yaitu teori diplomasi publik, Indonesia memanfaatkan Asian Games 2018 sebagai bukan hanya sekedar ajang olahraga namun juga sebagai suatu wadah untuk memperluas persahabatan, Teori selanjutnya yaitu teori kepentingan nasional, Indonesia melihat bahwa kepentingan nasional berhubungan dengan peningkatan ekonomi terutama di sektor pariwisata dan ekonomi kreatif. Selanjutnya penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif untuk menjelaskan kepentingan nasional indonesia melalui Asian Games 2018. Kemudian, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam beberapa sektor mengalami keberhasilan, dengan telah terlaksananya kegiatan Asian Games 2018 ini dapat mempengaruhi prospek kedepan dan memiliki prospek yang menjanjikan.
