PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN DENGAN MEDIA LEAFLET DAN QUESTION WHEEL TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN REMAJA PUTRI DALAM MENCEGAH KEPUTIHAN
Vaginal discharge is the second most common reproductive health condition in adolescent girls, behind menstrual disorders. Vaginal discharge is something that many young women in Indonesia view as normal and inconsequential. Inadequate information regarding vaginal discharge can lead to pathological discharge, hence efforts must be made to raise adolescent girls' awareness to address vaginal discharge issues. Health education is one strategy used to improve adolescent girls' knowledge of how to reduce the vaginal discharge. Research media used in providing health education are leaflets and question wheels. The purpose of this study is to ascertain the impact of health education using question wheels and leaflet media on adolescent girls' awareness of preventing vaginal discharge. With a pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design and probability sampling method with a stratified random sampling approach, this study used a quasi-experimental research design. 62 respondents made up the entire sample in this study, of whom 31 were in the leaflet group and 31 were in the question-wheel group. Knowledge of adolescent girls in this study was measured using a research questionnaire. The Wilcoxon test results of the study revealed that the groups before and after the intervention with leaflets and question wheels (p=0.000) differed significantly. The average difference in the level of knowledge of adolescent girls in preventing vaginal discharge before and after the intervention using Leaflet media is (16.51), while the average difference in the knowledge score of adolescent girls in preventing vaginal discharge before and after the intervention using Question Wheel is (22.96).There is a significant difference between the leaflet and question wheel media groups with the largest mean rank in the question wheel media. Question wheel media has a significant impact on adolescent girls' understanding of preventing vaginal discharge, allowing for the use of the media as one of the mediums for health education regarding preventing vaginal discharge.
