PETI (Unlicensed Mining) is business mining carried out by individuals, groups of people or companies foundation an orderly body which in operation does not have a permit and agency government worthy of order applicable laws. In Tanjung Enim, Muara Enim Regency the number mine unlicensed coal during the last 10 years has continued to increase, 77 coal PETI were found which were known to the government Muara Enim district. With this PETI activity, of course Lots raises conflict both horizontally and vertically. Local Government plays a role in helping minimize the resolution of conflict problems that occur. This research has the aim to find out as well analyze conflict management that occurs in mining unlicensed coal in Tanjung Enim, Muara Enim Regency. Descriptive research method qualitative with data collection through observation, interview, documentation and study library. Theory used namely using the theoretical approach of Thomas and Kilmann regarding conflict management styles (Conflict management styles). The results of the research findings that the conflict that occurred that is conflict between people worker mining (Horizontal Conflict), conflict between miners with government (Vertical Conflict), and conflict between miners with society. Conflict Management Styles used in resolution conflict using only 3 styles namely: (1) Competition Style, (2) Collaboration Style, and (3) Compromise Style. Keywords: Conflict , PETI, Resolution.
