APLIKASI TEH KOMPOS BERBAHAN DASAR VERMIKOMPOS DAN PENGARUHNYA TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL BUDIDAYA TANAMAN SAWI PAGODA (Brassica narinosa L.)
Tatsoi (Brassica narinosa L.) is a type of vegetable that has high economic value, tatsoi has dark green leaves which contain lots of vitamins and fiber. This plant is an annual plant that can grow both in hot and cold climates, so it can be cultivated in the lowlands and highlands. This research was aimed of providing information regarding the effect of proper application of solid vermicompost fertilizer and vermicompost tea in increasing the growth and yield of tatsoi (Brasicca narinosa L.). This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya Utara District, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra. The research was conducted from November 2022 to January 2023. This research used Randomized Block Design (RBD) method using solid vermicompost fertilizer and compost tea as the treatment, 6 treatments were obtained, namely: P0 (control), P1 (solid compost), P2 (compost tea with ratio of compost and water 1:5 (w/v) Aeration), P3 (compost tea with ratio of compost and water 1:10 (w/v) Aeration), P4 (compost tea with ratio of compost and water 1:5 (w/v) Non-Aerated), P5 (compost tea with a ratio of compost and water 1:10 (w/v) Non-Aerated). Each treatment was repeated 4 times and obtained 24 treatment units, each treatment unit had 2 plants, so the total number of plants there were 48 plants. The method of work carried out in this research was started from making compost tea, preparing planting media, sowing seeds, planting, fertilizing, maintaining and harvesting. In this research the variabels observed were plant height, number of leaves per plant, canopy area, fresh weight of plant shoots and roots, dry weight of plant shoots and roots, root length, greenness of leaves, root length, weekly pH value and daily temperature of the growing medium. The data obtained from the results of observations and measurements were analyzed for diversity (ANOVA) using the F test at the 5% test level. If the calculated F is greater than the F table at the 5% test level, it means that the treatment has a significant effect, so it is continued with the BNT 0,05 test to determine the level of treatment that causes a significant difference in response. The results of the study concluded that solid vermicompost and vermicompost tea had a significant effect on the variables of plant height, leaf greenness, canopy area, and crown fresh weight. Solid vermicompost (P1) treatment showed good results on plant height, number of leaves, weekly pH value, green leaf level, canopy area, root length, shoot fresh weight, root fresh weight, shoot dry weight and root dry weight compared to tea vermicompost. This study suggested that for cultivating pagoda mustard (Brassica narinosa L.) in pots or polybags, solid vermicompost could be used according to the recommended dose in this research, which is 60 g/polybag and given once before transplanting.
