PERSAINGAN PEDAGANG KONVENSIONAL DI PASAR INDRALAYA, OGAN ILIR
This study indicates that the Indralaya market in Ogan Ilir Regency is experiencing competition between conventional traders, which can lead to competition between conventional traders. Traders compete to attract buyers' attention and increase profits by attracting buyers. Competition between traditional traders causes damage to market prices, directly or indirectly, and also diminishes buyers' interest. The purpose of this study was to find out what factors led to the emergence of competition among conventional traders in the Indralaya market and how the conditions of competition occurred. Descriptive qualitative e research with a phenomenological research strategy is utilized as the research method. The data were collected through interviews with seven informants, papers and literature studies, and analyzed using the social capital theory advanced by Robert Putnam. The results of this study indicate that there are 8 factors that cause competition for conventional traders in Indralaya Market, Ogan Ilir, namely: (1) selling price competition; (2) changing consumer demand; (3) customer loyalty: (4) internal communication; (5) the influence of the digital era: (6) sales target: (7) the influence of technological developments: and (8) service speed. So the competition that happens is healthy competition because traders or buyers are mostly native to Ogan llir Regency who still defend family values.
