PENINGKATAN EKSPOR KOMODITI UDANG INDONESIA DI AMERIKA SERIKAT
During the Covid-19 pandemic, the export activities of Indonesian fishery products were also affected, one of which was the threat of rejection of fishery products, especially shrimp. If the competitiveness of Indonesian shrimp is relatively high, it will further spur export volumes which in turn has a positive effect on the growth of national export foreign exchange. This study aims to determine the competitive position of Indonesian shrimp commodities in the United States among competing countries as well as cooperation between governments, private companies and the public. The theory used is the theory of competitive advantage which has several dimensions, namely conditions factors, demand conditions, related and supporting industries as well as strategy, structure, and competition. Qualitative methods are used so that the data obtained are accurate in accordance with the events or phenomena that occur accordingly in the field. The results of this study, according to the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) there are factors that affect the export of Indonesian shrimp to the United States, namely the demand or needs of United States shrimp importers, the availability of domestic raw materials according to standards, the price of domestic shrimp raw materials, logistics costs, fulfillment of import requirements to the United States.
