Sriwijaya University has a character and career development center for alumni called the CDC (Career Development Center). CDC annually conducts a tracer study to track graduates or alumni to determine the condition of alumni track records related to employment and waiting periods. Given the large number of data sets generated annually, it will produce large data so that it becomes an opportunity to find information and knowledge that can be used for decision making in the future. This large data can be processed using data mining science with clustering techniques. From the processing that has been done using the K-Means and K-Medoids algorithms, the results show that the K-Means algorithm produces a lower DBI value so that the K-Means algorithm is the most optimal algorithm for clustering this research data. From the processing using the K-Means algorithm, 5 clusters were formed based on the waiting time of alumni to get a job. From the analysis of the characteristics of the clusters formed. Cluster 0 is a cluster with a category of alumni who quickly get a job while cluster 2 is a group of alumni with a slow category of getting a job.
