UJI KINERJA HAND TRACTOR RODA KARET PADA PEMBAJAKAN DI LAHAN KERING DENGAN VARIASI KECEPATAN MAJU DAN BEBAN PEMBERAT TERHADAP SLIP RODA
This study aims to determine and study the performance test of the hand tractor with the effect of forward speed and weight load on the slip of the drag wheel of the rubber wheel plow on dry land. This research was carried out from May 2023 to June 2023 at the Practicum and Research Garden, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University and Mechanical Laboratory, Soil and Water Engineering, Agricultural Engineering Study Program, Sriwijaya University. The method used was a randomized factorial block design (RAKF) with two treatment factors, namely forward speed (S) consisting of two treatment factor levels, namely speed 3.5 km/hour and 4 km/hour and weight load (W) consisting of three levels treatment factors, namely without weight, 100 kg and 150 kg. The research parameters consist of main and supporting parameters. The main parameters are wheel slip and supporting parameters including bulk density, fuel requirements, wheel rotation speed, travel time per track, wheel load pressure, soil turning width, and soil turning percentage. The results showed that the forward speed and weight load had a significant effect on wheel slip. The treatment of forward speed of 4 km/hour (S2) and without weight (W0) resulted in the highest average wheel slip values, respectively, namely 26.14% and 35.59% while the treatment of forward speed was 3.5 km/hour (S1) and a weight load of 150 kg (W2) produced the lowest average values, namely 12.61% and 8.68%, respectively.
