The United Arab Emirates is faced with uncertainty when two major powers are competing. The impartiality efforts of the United Arab Emirates are needed to balance these forces. The rivalry between Iran and Israel, coupled with past sentiments that have existed between the United Arab Emirates and each country, requires it to take a cautious stance. This research begins with the problem of interaction between the United Arab Emirates and Iran, which has had previous conflicts, up to the restoration of diplomatic relations between the two countries. A similar thing can also be seen in its relationship with Israel, which previously the United Arab Emirates did not recognize Israel and then established official diplomatic relations. On the other hand, Iran and Israel are competing which see each other as enemies to be weakened. The United Arab Emirates needs to maximize profits and minimize risks in the midst of Iran and Israel's competition in order to maintain the stability of its national security. The concept used in this research is hedging by Kuik Cheng Chwee that has five components hedging i.e. economic—pragmatism, binding—engagement, limited—bandwagoning, dominance—denial, and indirect—balancing. This study aims to explain how the balance of power of the United Arab Emirates when dealing with competition between Iran and Israel where its relationship between the two countries is dynamic. The method used is qualitative and the data produced is descriptive followed by drawing conclusions at the end of the study. The results showed that the United Arab Emirates did hedging against Iran and Israel by maximizing profits and minimizing the risk of threats to their national security from competing countries.
