Background : Joint pain is the most common clinical manifestation in SLE patients, more than 90%. One way to deal with pain is with relaxation techniques. Relaxation techniques that can be done are finger grip relaxation techniques and five finger hypnotic relaxation techniques. The hand-held finger relaxation technique and five-finger hypnosis are relaxation techniques that are cheap, very simple, easy to do by anyone and can be done independently. Objective: To apply nursing care to Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) patients who complain of pain by providing finger grip relaxation therapy and five finger hypnosis Methods: The method used is qualitative research with a case study approach to 3 Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) patients. Results: Based on the results of the study of the three managed patients, it was found that all three had the same main complaint, namely pain. Based on the review of the journal, the interventions provided were finger grip relaxation therapy on the first day and five finger hypnosis on the second day. The results of the final evaluation found that there was a decrease in the pain scale in all patients from a pain scale of 4-6 (moderate pain) to a scale of 1-3 (mild pain) and the three patients preferred finger-held relaxation therapy. Discussion: Complaints of pain experienced by patients are caused by inflammation in certain areas, causing patients to experience pain. The finger grip relaxation technique and five finger hypnosis are relaxation techniques using the fingers as a medium by stimulating the finger meridians which transmit these waves to the brain so that the brain will secrete endorphins which can cause analgesic effects throughout the body. Conclusion: finger grip relaxation therapy and five finger hypnosis are effective in reducing pain experienced by SLE patients
