Anemia in pregnancy is caused by a lack of iron in the blood. The impact of anemia in pregnancy is that abortion, preterm labor, fetal growth and development obstacles in the womb, low birth weight (LBW), and the possibility of congenital defects can occur. Factors that affect anemia in pregnant women are age, parity, gravida, pregnancy spacing, gestational age, education, occupation, economic status, Antenatal Care (ANC), disease history, knowledge, adherence to taking iron (Fe) blood-added tablets and nutritional status. The purpose of this study was to determine the determinants of anemia in pregnant women. This type of research is descriptive-analytical research with a cross-sectional approach. Sampling in this study used accidental sampling techniques and the number of samples was 97 respondents. Data collection using instruments in the form of digital Hb measuring instruments, LILA tapes, and questionnaire sheets. The results of the study found variables that were significantly related, namely gestational age (p value = 0.027), occupation (p value = 0.031), economic status (p value = 0.045), ANC (p value = 0.036), knowledge (p value = 0.028) and compliance with consuming iron blood-added tablets (Fe) (p value = 0.039). The factor that most influences the incidence of anemia in pregnant women is the knowledge variable with a value of OR = 3.373. Pregnant women with less knowledge will have a risk of anemia by 77%. Knowledge can affect the health status of a person, especially pregnant women. Lack of knowledge about anemia in pregnancy will make the mother less aware of the risks that will occur during pregnancy. Based on the results of this study, health workers need to pay attention to maternal knowledge about anemia to prevent the incidence of anemia.
