TINGKAT KERENTANAN MASYARAKAT AKIBAT PERUBAHAN IKLIM PADA USAHA PENGOLAHAN HASIL TANGKAP D KECAMATAN BANYUASIN II SUMATERA SELATAN
The study aims to: 1) Mapping the condition of fish processing activities in Banyuasin II District, South Sumatra; 2) Analyzing the business of processing the catch of fishermen in the District of Banyuasin II, South Sumatra; 3) Analyzing the level of community vulnerability related to the phenomenon of climate change, especially in the field of processing catches in Banyuasin II District, South Sumatra. This research was conducted in April 2022 until it was completed in Banyuasin II District, to be precise in 5 villages namely Marga Sungsang Village, Sungsang I Village, Sungsang II Village, Sungsang III Village, and Sungsang IV Village. This research was conducted using a survey method. The sampling method in this study uses a purposive method. The data processing method used in the research uses descriptive statistical analysis methods and a Likert scale. Based on this research, it can be concluded that the processing businesses that are quite popular in Banyuasin II District are shrimp pempek and shrimp kemplang. Both of these processed products use shrimp as the main raw material in their manufacture. The shrimp raw materials used come directly from the fishermen who are there. The production activities of shrimp pempek and shrimp kemplang in Banyuasin II District are carried out by each business owner and assisted by other family members. The fish processing business in Banyuasin II District has an R/C ratio of 1,25 for the shrimp pempek business, then for the shrimp kemplang business it has an R/C ratio of 1,32 which means that the two businesses are profitable and feasible to run and provide benefits. The level of community vulnerability due to climate change is on a small scale, which means that the community is less prepared and vulnerable in dealing with the impacts arising from climate change.
