PENGARUH POSISI BAHAN SETEK DAN BENTUK PEMOTONGAN DASAR SETEK TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN KEMBALI BIBIT TANAMAN LIDAH MERTUA (Sansevieria trisfasciata L.)
Mother-in-law's tongue (Sansevieria trisfasciata L.) is a ornamental plant that is usually propagated using leaf cuttings. This study aimed to compare the basal cutting shape and the segments of the cuttings which can produce more and faster roots and shoots. The research was conducted at the Greenhouse, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra. The research began in December 2022 until March 2023. The research used 2 factors, where the first factor was the position of the cuttings, namely P = shoot cuttings segment, T = middle cuttings segment, and D = basic cuttings segment. The second factor is the form of cuttings, namely D = flat cutting, M = oblique cutting, V = V-shaped cutting, and W = W-shaped cutting. The research results show that the original treatment of middle cuttings had the best effect on the time of the first shoots, cuttings had the best effect on the time of the first shoots, Meanwhile, the best the number of shoots were obtained from the position of the shoot cuttings. The basal cuttings of V shape gave the best result the number of shoots, the number of roots, the first shoots to appear and the length of the shoots.
