Tides are a phenomenon of the periodic rise and fall of sea level caused by a combination of gravitational forces and the gravitational pull of astronomical objects. Tidal land is land where the availability of water is influenced by the movement of the tides on the surface of the river. Salinity is the degree of saltiness or dissolved salt content in water. Salinity is also expressed in DHL. DHL value ≥ 4 dS/m indicates the salt content in the soil solution is high enough to harm plants. The DHL (Electrical Conductivity) method is an electrical conductivity (EC) meter method that has more accurate information on soil salinity values. Soil texture is the relative ratio between the primary grains of sand, silt, and clay expressed in percent of the soil mass. This research was carried out from August 2022 to October 2022 in Air Salek District, Banyuasin Regency. The analysis was carried out at the Physics, Conservation, Survey and Evaluation Laboratory of the Soil Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya. The method used in this research is the Review Survey method. Soil sampling was carried out using the Random Simple Sampling method. The parameters observed in this study were soil salinity using the Electrical Conductivity (EC) method or using the Electrical Conductivity (DHL) value and Soil texture using the Hydrometer method. salinity using the interpolation method. In this assessment, in checking the salinity of the three villages which have different distances from the river mouth, different salinity values were obtained. The highest salinity value is in Srimulyo village with a value of 0.491 dS/m and the lowest salinity value is in Sidoharjo village which has a salinity value of 0.242 dS/m. The results of soil texture analysis obtained texture classes of loam, sandy loam, and sandy loam. And in this study, the distance between the village and the estuary affects the level of salinity.
