PERAN KEPEMIMPINAN DALAM MENINGKATKAN KINERJA PEGAWAI PADA BADAN KESATUAN BANGSA DAN POLITIK PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN
The purpose of this study was to determine the description of the Leadership Role of the Head of the National Unity and Politics Agency as well as leadership obstacles based on Henry Mintzberg's theory indicators that revealed that leadership roles can be measured through the Roles of Personal Relationships, Roles of Information Relationships, Roles Decision-making. The research method uses a qualitative approach with the type of descriptive qualitative research. Data were collected by observation, interview and documentation to eight informants. Samples were determined using Miles and Huberman data analysis techniques by means of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the Head of Badan KESBANGPOL south sumatera province had a good role in improving employee performance through the Role of Personal Relationships, the Role of Information Relationships, the Role of Decision Making. However, in this research, it is found that leadership obstacles are the leaders who cannot bring up ideas and innovations related to technology. Efforts to overcome these obstacles, the head of the Badan KESBANGPOL south sumatera province must further increase his knowledge and skills by keeping up with the times on technological advances so that he can create new innovations that will be usefulfor improving organizational performance.
