He elderly population, which continues to increase, is closely associated with the onset of dementia, leading to brain damage and cognitive decline. Non pharmacological therapies that can be used include brain gym exercise therapy and Uno Stacko play therapy. The aim of this study was to determine the differences in effectiveness between brain gym exercise and Uno Stacko play therapy on cognitive function in the elderly. This research employed a quantitative design with a pre experimental approach and a pretest-posttest with control group design. The research sample was obtained using non-probability sampling with purposive sampling technique. The sample consisted of 51 individuals, with 17 participants in the brain gym exercise group, 17 participants in the Uno Stacko group, and 17 participants in the control group. Data were analyzed using post hoc tests. The results of the study indicated that by the 6th day, the brain gym exercise group and the control group had already shown an impact on the cognitive function of the elderly, while by the 7th day, the Uno Stacko group had also shown an impact on the cognitive function of the elderly. The N Gain Score test results showed that the average values for the brain gym exercise therapy group were 30.32%, the Uno Stacko play therapy group was 35.68%, and the control group was 33.61%. The effectiveness of the interventions, as indicated by the N-Gain table, showed that all three groups had differences in effectiveness, but due to the small differences in values, the level of effectiveness was deemed ineffective in improving cognitive function in the elderly. The elderly can be directed to receive brain gym exercise therapy, Uno Stacko play therapy, and sharing sessions regarding daily activities or pleasant events to prevent cognitive decline.
