PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN PILL BOX TERHADAP KEPATUHAN MINUM OBAT PASIEN HIPERTENSI DI PUSKESMAS NAWANGSASI KABUPATEN MUSI RAWAS
Hypertension is a condition when blood pressure inside blood vessels continues to rise. Treatment of hypertensive patients is a long-term or even lifelong treatment. Hypertensive patients should still adhere to taking medication every day with the presence or absence of pain and symptoms that arise. This study aims to determine the effect of Pill Box administration on medication adherence of hypertensive patients. This type of research is quantitative research with pre-experimental design methods with a one-group pre-test and post-test design approach. The sample in this study was 20 respondents who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The instrument used to measure patient adherence was the Morisky Medication Adherence Scale 8-Item (MMAS-8) questionnaire. Data analysis of this study used a marginal homogeneity test with value interpretation (α = 0.05). The results of this study obtained p-value = 0.000 (p-value < α), meaning that there was a significant difference between the level of adherence to taking medication for hypertensive patients at the Nawangsasi Health Center before and after being given pill boxes. The results showed that there was an effect of Pill Box administration on medication adherence of hypertensive patients at the Nawangsasi Health Center, Musi Rawas Regency. Giving Pill Box to hypertension patients can affect the level of adherence to taking medication for hyepertensi patients so that the blood pressure of hypertensive patients can be controlled and reduce the occurrence of complications.
