The correlation between the simple present tense mastery and report text writing achievement of the eleventh grade student of SMAN 1 Tanjung Batu
The objectives of this study were to find out whether or not there was a significant correlation between simple present tense mastery and report text writing achievement and to find out how much the contribution of simple present tense mastery to report text writing achievement. This study was conducted at SMAN 1 Tanjung Batu. The sample of this study was 45 eleventh grade students. It was taken by using simple random sampling method. The data were obtained by using two kinds of tests: simple present tense test and writing test. Based on statistical analysis, the correlation coefficient was 0.573 at significant level less than 0.05 (
