One of the causes of increasing mortality in victims of OHCA (out-of-hospital cardiac arrest) due to accidents is the lack of understanding of public helpers in providing appropriate assistance. Junior high school (JHS) students are one of the communities that have the potential to become public helpers in providing basic life support (BLS) to OHCA victims due to accidents. The main thing that students must possess as helpers is knowledge about BLS. One of the efforts that can be made to increase knowledge about BLS in students is by providing health education. This study aims to determine the effect of health education through e-comic media on knowledge BLS in junior high school students. This research is a pre-experimental study with one group pretest-posttest design. The number of samples in this study was 75 respondents, taken using probability sampling probability sampling through stratified random sampling technique. The instrument in this study used a questionnaire. The statistical analysis in this study used the marginal homogeneity test. The results of the analysis obtained a p value of 0.000, indicating that health education using e-comics media has a significant effect on the BHD knowledge of junior high school students. The use of e-comic media is effective for increasing BHD knowledge in junior high school students.
