This study aims to understand the form local belief in determined their lottery numbers and understand the impact of lottery gambling on actors in social life. The research method used is a qualitative research method and and studied using Alfred Schutz's phenomenological theory and the concept of local belief to then produce forms of local community belief in determining numbers based on because of motives in the form of mystical behavior, dream interpretation of natural codes and based on in order to motives in the form of fortune-telling or becuntang. As well as the impact of lottery gambling based on motives, namely economically where the perpetrators feel that sometimes online Macau lottery gambling actually adds to family economic problems. However, perpetrators sometimes feel helped by the winning numbers they get, community solidarity is getting tighter because perpetrators share numbers with each other and are based on an in-order motive, namely addiction.
