ANALISIS WACANA KRITIS DALAM FILM DOKUMENTER ISLAMOFOBIA : FITNAH, REKAYASA, DAN KEKERASAN (2022)
This research examines a documentary film titled "Islamophobia: Fitnah, Rekayasa, dan Kekerasan" using the critical discourse analysis approach by Teun A. Van Djik. The study focuses on the section of the film that discusses Islamophobia in Indonesia, particularly the claims made by Arrahmah regarding three individuals accused of being anti-Islam or spreading Islamophobia, namely Denny Siregar, Abu Janda, and Ade Armando. The research method employed in this study is qualitative descriptive research, applying the method of critical discourse analysis. The qualitative approach allows the researcher to classify and analyze data in the form of words and human actions without quantifying the collected information. Based on the analysis of the text, cognition, and social context, it was found that the narrative in the documentary film employs personal attacks or ad hominem. Personal attacks or ad hominem are rhetorical tactics used to attack individuals personally without addressing arguments or issues substantively. In the narrative, the mentioned individuals (Denny Siregar, Abu Janda, and Ade Armando) are attacked by making accusations or mentioning negative behaviors they allegedly engage in, without providing strong arguments or discussing the issue objectively
