KEPENTINGAN INDONESIA DALAM KERJASAMA EKONOMI DENGAN JEPANG MELALUI PROGRAM KENDARAAN HYBRID
The use of fossil energy sources in Indonesia is greater than the production rate, fossil energy is used for transportation and industrial purposes. As an effort, the development of technology with new energy sources is needed to maintain security and encourage national energy development. Cooperation between Indonesia and Japan through IJEPA in developing the country's economy through automotive export-import activities is an opportunity for Indonesia to open up the automotive market. This research uses Donald E. Nuechterlein's National Interest theory to describe Indonesia's Interests in Carrying Out Economic Cooperation with Japan Through the Hybrid Vehicle Program. The research method used is qualitative with secondary data sources. Based on the results of the analysis carried out, it was found that Indonesia has an interest in the security aspect, namely utilizing hybrid vehicle technology that uses new national fuel-efficient energy sources as an effort to increase petroleum reserves for energy development. In addition, there are also economic interests, namely increasing national economic growth through the automotive market and creating jobs for new industries.
