KOMODIFIKASI DRIVER OJEK ONLINE (OJOL)TERDAMPAK PANDEMI COVID-19 PADA KONSTRUKSI MEDIA (ANALISIS WACANA TEUN A.VAN DJIK PADA PEMBERITAAN OJEK ONLINE DI KOMPAS.COM)
This study aims to describe the forms of commodification that shaped the construction of reality in online motorcycle taxi (ojol) reporting during the Covid-19 pandemic. Described a construction of reality aims to make the reader always critically evaluate an event. This study used a qualitative research method with Vincent Mosco's Political Economy theory and the discourse analysis method of Teun A Van Djik as the analytical knife. The data collection method in this study used documentation and literature study techniques based on the theory. The results of this study showed that the existence of Kompas.com media during the pandemic was related to constructing the image of Ojolriders as the only group that deserves concern. Kompas.com does this continually by producing news content about online motorcycle taxi. Nevertheless, the commodification of news content is still being carried out by Kompas.com consistently with its work ethic and journalistic practices, namely pro-humanity.
