Background: The incidence of menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) in the world is very high. On average, more than 50% of women in every country experience menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea). Meanwhile in Indonesia it is estimated that 55% of women of reproductive age are tormented by pain during menstruation. The incidence (prevalence) of menstrual pain ranges from 45-95% among women of reproductive age (Atikah, 2009). Non-pharmacological pain management is an action to reduce pain response without using pharmacological agents. There are several ways that can be done to treat pain non-pharmacologically, one of which is applying water . Purpose: This report aims to provide family nursing care to young women who experience dysmenorrhea pain with the main problem being acute pain nursing by treating it using warm water compress therapy. Method: The method of this scientific work report is a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach and provides nursing care and interventions based on journal analysis. Results: The results of the study found that of the three cases managed, the problem that most complained about was pain and cramps in the abdomen. The main diagnosis that arises is acute pain related to biological injury agents (disease processes), while the implementation used is to provide warm water compress therapy. Based on the evaluation results, it was found that the pain scale could be reduced from a scale between 4-5 to 0-1 after being given warm water compresses for 15 minutes with an intensity of administration 3 times a day for 7 consecutive days which proved effective. Conclusion: Non-pharmacological therapy warm water compresses given have an effect on reducing the pain scale in the abdomen in patients with dysmenorrhea with the main problem of acute pain nursing.
