PT Putra Muba Coal (PMC) is located in Sungai Lilin District, Musi Banyuasin Regency. PT PMC set a coal production target of 3 semesters of 1850,000 tons. To meet the production target, PT PMC plans to mine the Abimanyu pit, so a scheduled, safe, and economical pit design plan is needed and can support the achievement of the planned production target. The maximum value of the stripping ratio is 2. The pit design was made using Mindscape 5.7 software, and the slope geometry was designed using PT PMC's geotechnical recommendations. The research resulted in the design of the Abimanyu LOM pit with a total coal reserve of 1,855,000.00 tons, overburden of 3,245,811.75 BCM, and an opening area of 14.93 Ha, which was divided on a semester basis according to the planned production target. The width of the mine road in the design is 14 m with a maximum grade of 8%. Based on the production target and the number of reserves, as well as the assumption of 8% losses, the mine life at the Abimanyu pit is 1.5 years. The design direction of the annual mining stages is made following the dip and strike direction of the coal. The working slopes are designed with a minimum width of 30 m. The design of the annual pit sequence is made of 3 sequences, where all 3 can support 100% of the annual coal production target. The design in the first semester got an estimated amount of coal reserves of 637,70202.15 tons, with a total of 1 loading and unloading tool and 6 conveyances with stripping ratio 1,3:1. In the second semester, the estimated amount of coal reserves was 633,112.90 tons with a total of 1 digging tool and 6 conveyances and overburden amounting to 1,226,210.14 cm with 2 digging tools and 6 conveyances with stripping ratio 1,9:1. In the third semester, the estimated coal reserves amounted to 628,742.64 tons with a total of 1 digging tool and 6 conveyances and an overburden of 1,216,227.51 cm with 2 digging tools and 6 conveyances with stripping ratio 1,9:1.
