Tourism potential can contribute to improving the economy of region which can be seen significantly through the continuous form of community income. These changes can be in the form of small changes to the level of very large changes that can have limited or broend impacts, change can affect social values and norms, patterns of organizational behavior, the composition of social institutions, layers in society, power, authority, social interactions and so on. Changes that occur in society are normal symptoms. The purpose of this study was to analyze the social changes in the community after the construction of the tample tourism in Bumi Ayu village, Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir district. The research location was in Bumi Ayu Village, Tanah Abang Disctrict, Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir Regency, the researcher chose this location because Bumi Ayu Village had been built a tample since 1990. Many researches had been cerried out, there were very valuable assets, so the existence of the Bumi Ayu site had to be put to goog use by the goverment and community in Bumi Ayu Village. Data collection techniques are primary data techniques and secondry data, researchers use data collection techniques of observation, interviews and documentation in collecting research data. The data analysis techniques use are: 1). Data Condensation; 2). Data Presentation Stage; 3). Validation or Conclusion Stage. summary, the result of this study are that development ig the Bumi Ayu Temple tour provides many social changes that occur in society before and after the construction of the temple tourism namely : 1). Social Values; 2). Social Attitudes; 3). Social Interaction; 4). Social Behavior; 5). Education and Livelihood. In addition, the community is strating to be open to new things, willing to accept development or awareness of each of the importance of preserving culture for the realization of village progress as a tourist spot.
