This study aims to determine the value of soil infiltration rate and soil permeability for the development of oil palm plantations. This research was conducted in December 2020 to January 2021 in the experimental garden of Agriculture Faculty, Sriwijaya University, Gelumbang, Muara Enim Regency. Infiltration analysis was carried out in the field and analysis of Soil Permeability, Soil Texture, Bulk Density, Total Pore Space was carried out at the Soil Physics Laboratory, Soil Department, Agriculture Faculty, Sriwijaya University. The method used in this study is a grid method consisting of 3 infiltration sample points based on altitude and 46 sample points where each sample point represents ± 1 ha. Soil samples were taken by drilling to a depth of 0-20 cm of soil depth to be analyzed in Laboratory. Infiltration rate was measured with a double ring at 3 points based on the soil height to get a medium-low infiltration rate value.
