ANALISIS KEKASARAN PERMUKAAN DAN KEAUSAN PAHAT PADA PROSES MILLING MENGGUNAKAN METODOLOGI PERMUKAAN RESPON
Machining with Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL) is an environmentally friendly machining method (green machining) that improves the controlled surface roughness quality compared to dry and flood machining. Additionally, previous research indicates that MQL can enhance efficiency, thus optimizing cutting conditions. The CNC TU 3A machine performs milling processes on Aluminum 6061 as the test material using endmill made of high-speed steel. The influence of cutting speed and feed rate on surface roughness and tool wear is modeled using Response Surface Methodology (RSM). The results show that the quadratic model has very low error compared to the linear model, with an error percentage of 0.0068% and a mean square error value of 0.014088%. The most optimal surface roughness and tool wear are achieved at 0.272 µm and 0.0476 mm, respectively, with a cutting speed of 15 m/min and a feed rate of 0.015 mm/tooth.
