This study aims to determine the Leadership Communication of the Principal of SMK Negeri 1 Babat Supat, Musi Banyuasin Regency in the Pandemic Period. The research method used in the study is a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study are by observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used is data condensation, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the leadership communication of the head of SMK Negeri 1 Babat Supat during the Covid-19 pandemic went well. Communication is carried out by principals and teachers as well as other elements in the school online through WhatsApp groups. The communication carried out by the principal and teachers as well as educators has fulfilled the theoretical aspects of superior-subordinate leadership communication which consists of understanding changes in attitudes, good social relations and actions. Teachers and students are able to understand the information provided by the principal online through WhatsApp groups well. Then there was a change in the attitude of the teachers in delivering information to students in accordance with the direction of the principal. The communication carried out also creates a good social relationship between the principal and the teacher even though the communication is done online. Then the actions of the teachers in paying attention to the information conveyed by the Principal regarding the motivation and warning to conduct online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic properly and maximally.
