KANDUNGAN TIMBAL DAN SENG PADA ITIK YANG DIPELIHARA SECARA INTENSIF DAN EKSTENSIF SERTA KAITANNYA DENGAN BERAT ORGAN
Duck is one of the poultry that has the potential as a producer of eggs and meat. The duck production system generally uses intensive and extensive rearing systems. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in the mineral content of Lead (Pb) and Zinc (Zn) in these ducks and their relation to organ weight. This research was carried out from July to December 2022 in the experimental barn of University Sriwijaya and UPT Integrated Laboratory and Technology Innovation Center, University of Lampung. This study used ducks which were reared intensively by exposing them to the yard with an area of 15 x 12 m³ and were fed broiler chicken concentrate and rice bran. Meanwhile, the ducks that are kept extensively are grazed in swamp areas. Furthermore, meat and liver samples were taken, dried and measured for the metal content using Microwave Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (MP-AES). The data obtained were analyzed using the t test with the help of Microsoft Excel and the correlation test with the help of SPSS. The results showed that the mineral content of Pb and Zn in ducks reared intensively was higher than in ducks reared extensively. High or low Pb and Zn mineral content was not related to the organ weight.
