PERENCANAAN NORMALISASI SALURAN IRIGASI SEKUNDER DESA SANTAN SARI KECAMATAN SEMBAWA
Flood and drought problems that occur in paddy fields are caused by many factors. One of them is caused by the condition of the channel that is not functioning properly. Therefore, channel normalization is needed as an effort to restore the function of water distribution in irrigation networks. This research is located in Santan Sari Village, Sembawa District, Banyuasin Regency. Agricultural land in Santan Sari Village have a secondary channel functioning as carrier channel and discharge channel. This study uses primary data from field observations obtained at the SID OPLA activities and secondary data from BMKG Palembang City, Kenten Station. This study aims to calculate the water demand discharge, flood discharge, required channel dimensions, and costs required for channel normalization. The data is simulated using HEC-RAS 4.1.0. For the final results of the study, a maximum planned water discharge is 0.241 m3/s, and a maximum flood discharge is 7.47 m3/s, dimensions for normalizing irrigation canals with a bottom width of 5.1 m, top width of 11.73 m, and a channel height of 2.21 m. After knowing the suitable cannel design, then proceed with finding the total excavation to normalize the channel. From the excavation work, it is estimated that the cost for normalizing this channel is IDR 195,860,000.00.
