Most of the people's economy is supported in a buying and selling process and this is common in markets. The market in question is the Traditional Market. Because in this market buying and selling activities, bargaining still applies. But now the process of buying and selling in traditional markets tends to decrease because many modern markets have developed. Resulting in being unable to compete because the facilities at the Modern Market are more adequate. Because it has a negative impact on traders who sell in traditional markets. Therefore, Traditional Markets are required to compete with Modern Markets which have developed to stabilize the people's economy again. The choice of Pasar Panorama to be redesigned is one of the factors because this market is the most visited market and also the largest and most comprehensive market in Bengkulu City. There are also other factors, namely the Panorama Market has a class II standard according to SNI for people's markets. However, after conducting surveys and comparisons, it turns out that the percentage value is still far from feasible, even the number of existing traders has fulfilled Class II market capacity. So that the Planning and Design of the Panorama Market was carried out with the aim of designing market buildings according to the ideal standards of Class I Traditional Markets and highlighting the cultural characteristics of the City of Bengkulu by using the concept of Neo Vernacular Architecture. By adapting the physical form of the Bengkulu traditional house building, namely the Bubungan Lima House and some local building materials such as red brick and red meranti wood as the building facade. In its design, this building is divided into 2 building masses according to zoning. That is, there is a dry area market and a wet area market. Supported by several supporting facilities such as the inner court area and food court. Using a footplate foundation due to the geographical factor of Bengkulu, which is prone to earthquakes. The site design is also designed according to zoning, there are car and motorbike parking areas, service areas, public open space areas.
