PERENCANAAN DAN PERANCANGAN PUSAT PENDIDIKAN DAN PELATIHAN IKATAN DA'I INDONESIA DI DAERAH ISTIMEWA YOGYAKARTA
Da'wah is an obligation for every Muslim by enjoining good and forbidding evil. Currently, the function of da'wah has been reduced to merely 'lectures' from ulama and asatidz, so that various efforts have been made to educate the public. One of them is through education and training of da'wah. One of the provinces with a Muslim majority community in Indonesia is D. I. Yogyakarta. This province has a Muslim population of 92% and has 5,000 Islamic education facilities but does not yet have a religious training center. As a response to some of these problems, the authors try to design the Education and Training Center of the Indonesian Da'i Association in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, which is managed directly by the Ikatan Da'i Indonesia, DIY Province, the parent institution for the development and empowerment of preachers in the province. . The building is designed with the concept of Islamic architecture essentially in all aspects of its design. This concept also applies to optimizing the use of existing land, the use of a sturdy structure that adapts to earthquake-prone land types, the use of environmentally friendly energy, the use of local materials and the formation of an iconic facade but still in harmony with the character of the surrounding environment. Thus, the Pusdiklat is expected to be a forum for empowerment and inclusive education as well as a reflection of the role of a preacher for Muslims, especially in the D.I. Yogyakarta province.
