The Policy for Controlling Illegal Parking on Jalan POM IX carried out by the Palembang City Transportation Service is still a problem, this is because there are still many complaints coming from affected communities due to illegal parking on Jalan POM IX. Even though POM IX road is a KTL (Traffic Control Area) but there are still lots of illegal parking on that road, As a KTL (traffic orderly area) the Department of Transportation must pay more attention to controlling illegal parking on POM IX road so that the community does not receive the impact. This research is a type of descriptive research through qualitative research methods. Researchers conducted interviews with the illegal parking community, affected communities, illegal parking attendants, and the Department of Transportation. This was done to find out how the policy of controlling illegal parking on Jalan POM IX was evaluated by the Palembang City Transportation Service. In this study it is known that the evaluation of illegal parking control policies by the Department of Transportation is considered quite good. This can be seen from the efforts of the Department of Transportation to carry out various activities on Jalan POM IX, although there are still some shortcomings from the Department of Transportation in controlling illegal parking on Jalan Pom.
