This research is entitled "Community Participation in Prevention of Drug Abuse Among Adolescents in the Jawa Kanan Region, SS Lubuklinggau Timur II District". The purpose of this study was to find out the forms of community participation in preventing drug abuse among adolescents in the Jawa Kanan area of SS and to find out what obstacles the community faces in preventing drug abuse among adolescents in the Jawa Kanan SS area, Lubuklinggau Timur II sub-district. In this study using the concept of participation according to Verhangen (in Mardikanto and Soebiato 2019). The research method used is Qualitative. Types and sources of data obtained through primary data and secondary data, in data collection techniques in the form of observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. Determination of informants in this study using purposive. There were 11 informants in this study, consisting of 8 main informants and 3 supporting informants. The results of this study indicate that the community has carried out their participation well, such as participating in socialization on the dangers of drugs, reporting drug abuse, instilling religious values and norms, educating youth from an early age, and holding positive activities such as sports. And the obstacles faced by the community in preventing drug abuse are the lack of public interest in participating in socialization, promiscuity among adolescents, and low understanding of the dangers of drugs.
