PT Bukit Asam Tbk is a state-owned company (BUMN) which was established on March 2, 1981 in accordance with PP No. 42 of 1980 on December 15, 1980. The company is headquartered in Tanjung Enim, South Sumatra. The company has two coal ports, namely those in Palembang, South Sumatra, namely the Kertapati Coal Pier and those in Bandar Lampung, namely the Tarahan Coal Port. ROM (Run of Mine or Raw of Mine) is an area where coal is stored temporarily before being distributed or marketed. The material in ROM is obtained through a dumping process by a dump truck or pouring from a conveyor. During the activities of stockpiling, loading and transporting coal to the barge at PT. Bukit Asam Tarahan Port Unit from the stockpile, there are a number of negative effects on the surrounding environment. Monitoring of the management of stockpile environmental conditions by PT Bukit Asam Tbk Tarahan Port Unit has been carried out optimally. This can be concluded by researchers based on the review of planning and realization data which is used as a reference at PT Bukit Asam Tbk., Tarahan Port Unit. The results of the review of plans and realization of environmental management and monitoring funds carried out according to the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Decree no. 1806 K/30/MEM/208 is 102.02%. These results have increased from the management at TW.I, due to the installation of a dust suppression system and the construction of operational chimneys for PLTU 2X8 MW. monitoring results indicating that all environmental quality parameters monitored are still below the established quality standards.
