PERAN UNITED NATIONS WOMEN DALAM MENGATASI VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN DI INDONESIA TAHUN 2016-2020
Indonesia is a country with a fairly high level of violence against women. This is caused by discrimination against women, one of which is the social order that still adheres to traditional patriarchal practices. The United Nations, through its gender entity UN Women, also has a role to play in addressing this issue. The thesis research entitled "The Role of United Nations Women in Overcoming Violence Against Women in Indonesia in 2016-2020" raises the issue of violence against women that occurs in Indonesia and how an international organization, in this case UN Women, can position itself as one of the actors in social relations international organization dealing with violence against women in Indonesia. This study aims to determine the role of UN Women as an international organization in dealing with violence against women in Indonesia through UN Women's programs. In this research, researchers used a qualitative approach using international organization theory from Clive Archer. The data sources used are secondary data obtained through books, journals, articles, news magazines, websites, documents, and data found on websites or on the internet. The result of this research is that UN Women has done many things to fulfill its role as an international organization, be it its role as an instrument, as an arena, or as an independent actor.
