Puerperal infection is one of the causes of death in postpartum mothers. In women who give birth vaginally, tears in the perineum are the cause of puerperal infections. Care of the perineal wound is very important to prevent puerperal infection. In 2021-2022 there will be an increase in postpartum cases with perineal wound pathology (infection and delay in perineal wound healing) in the Tebing Tinggi Health Center UPTD work area. The purpose of this study was to determine the knowledge and behavior of perineal wound care in postpartum mothers. This research design uses a quantitative descriptive method.
